Nothing Is Impossible Without Your Consent

Written and posted by Jackie Olmstead, Monday, June 24, 2024 – I would love to say to you out loud, “Please really let the title of this post sink in: Nothing Is Impossible Without Your Consent.” and then really look at you and see what comes up for you. I cannot imagine that anyone doesn’t know what it means. But really take it to heart and feel it with whatever challenges you are facing today, my friend.

It encapsulates the problems and the solutions that exist today and for many years now, the state of our belief systems around our health (and everything else, for that matter.)

Nothing can make you question a situation more than a crisis. When you hear those diagnoses: “You have cancer. You have asthma. You have chronic fatigue syndrome. You have celiac disease. You have Crohn’s disease….”

What happens after that moment when you hear things like this? I can tell you exactly. Why?

Because I myself was told these things:

“You have asthma.” “You have irritable bowel syndrome.” “You are a chronic depressive person.” “You have hashimoto’s disease.” “You have celiac disease.” “You have breast lumps that are concerning and I recommend removing them….”

… and other things that I don’t wish to go into here because it truly isn’t crucial that you know my whole medical chart.

Because of our conditioning, our social landscape around doctor’s proclamations about ourselves is never questioned in general.

Now, I know that over the years since this all of this began (the awakening of people to knowing that they actually have a choice in their guidance), we have as a whole begun to know that at the very least you have the option of choosing to get a second opinion for diagnosis or other medical guidance that is given to us.

However, WHAT IF…. you finally were able to KNOW that you can heal your body, that your body DOES heal itself?

I’m going to talk about this forever until people actually KNOW this. If you’re tired of hearing it perhaps it’s a clue that you are feeling your conditioning get questioned, as it should. I encourage you to look at your current belief list around your health.

I dare you. I support you in this private mental conversation with yourself that can and WILL change it all, change everything you know about being human and feeling good.

I healed my asthma. I was diagnosed at the age of 6 months old with asthma.

At the age of 47, I was working with a spiritual and life coach who brought into my radar the idea that all the things we have in our scope of belief is a choice.

I’m currently cleansing my digestive system so that I won’t have to be as fearful or nervous around gluten accidentally getting in my food. I’m already there, actually. What a switch from when I was first diagnosed with celiac disease.

It was merited for me to be very careful and conscientious about making sure that I had no cross-contamination of gluten in my food. But that I have been cleansing and healing my gut for the past couple of years, I feel much more emotionally relaxed about it being a “death threat.” My mental state around it is as important as all the other health concerns they wanted me to be wearing labels for.

I’m currently re-building my thyroid situation too. Auto-immune disorders are from inflammation within the system. So let’s reduce our inflammation.

Read this: “I couldn’t go to work today because I got sick, I got some flu bug that seems to be going around.”

There’s so much in that sentence that needs to be truly mulled over.

I’m going to get a lot of people disagreeing with me. That’s totally ok because I used to feel differently about things like this statement about being sick. I used to think that the “bugs” going around were truly the reason I got sick, or my chronic illnesses that would keep coming up.

I’m writing this today to make you simply have a momentary spark in your mind that you do have a choice for everything. But, me saying these things does NOT mean that any of these choices or situations are BAD. A choice is a choice, a belief system is a belief system. But what I’m trying to say to you all is that one choice over another will lead to a certain or potential situation but it’s not to be judged.

So take that sentence above. Let’s break it down. “I couldn’t go to work…”

Rewriting it puts more ownership into the situation: “I chose not to go into work…”

How about: “…because I got sick,…”: “because my body is trying to communicate to me that I need to rest and my immune system kicked in to help me reset”.

And “…I got some flu bug”: “My body is exhausted and I am overdoing life stuff as I haven’t been paying attention to things my body has been warning me about. So my body has literally shut down and I need to rest, for whatever is going on.”

I am hesitant to talk about this stuff. I know that many of you will be angry with me and insist on blaming others around you who had similar symptoms that you are also experiencing and for sure that is what’s wrong with you.

Like I said before, your belief system around your own health situation is yours and I absolutely respect that. I used to feel this way and blame others for “getting me sick” so I can’t tell you that you are wrong in your way. You are right for yourself.

My writings are for those who want to get better, who want to make shifts in their lives. If you don’t want that on whatever level you feel these things, then I am definitely not your person.

There is a new line of thought that all the “bugs” out there actually all live in all of us and when we feel like someone else got us sick, that we actually activated our own bugs that were always there. I am fascinated by this thinking and am open to hearing more about these theories and beliefs because I know there’s so much more that we don’t know or understand about the world or our bodies.

So, let me ask you, If you knew that you had a choice in whatever health or life situation you are in, how would that change your life today? What do you think you could do if you could change your situation?

I’ll never forget the moment when my coach said to me, “You know, Jackie, it’s ok to get sick. If you get sick, it means that you have chosen it, that you had ignored warning signs from your body. So take the rest, take the break and go deep to listen and nurture your body. There are always things to hear from your body around this. Always… if you can listen. There are lots of reasons why you shut down. At the first sign of feeling out of whack, that is your opportunity to LISTEN and make adjustments to help your body to not shut down. Otherwise, it’s a learning/life/body experience. And, I encourage you to take that time. If you are sick, own it!”

  1. Stuff to ponder: What have you accepted as “normal” and “unchangeable”?
  2. List your labels but then realize that that is all they are.
  3. Take it one at a time and know that it is all possible.
  4. Reach out to a coach or healer who you are comfortable with for guidance and accountability.

Listen, the journey is not always easy, but the rewards are FREEDOM, feeling amazing and it is super empowering.

I wish you the best of health today, my friend and I am happy, as always, to answer questions you might have.

Namaste.
